Most Physical therapists struggle with really acute cases of LBP & sciatica even after taking a bunch of con ed courses.

ESPECIALLY when the patient can't even get comfortable because everything hurts!

Mckenzie repeated extensions hurt and even traction hurts...

wait… isn't that suppose to feel good!?

Or the patient with subacute sciatica who are so easily flared up by even trivial exercises then cancelling the rest of their visits.

It can get overwhelming when these patients walk into your clinic, leaving you unsure of yourself and where to start 😨

I know exactly how that feels because years ago I was in that spot while trying to figure out how to help these patients...

and you'd be surprised how many other PTs feel the exact same way

You don’t have to give up on these patients or stay stuck trying to figure out how to them.

The great news is that confidently going through a simple eval process that shows your patient that YOU can help get better faster is a lot easier than you think…

So long as you have a CLEAR framework you can follow step-by-step that’ll help you tap into a lot of the skills you likely already have.

But I’ve already taken a bunch of con ed courses already (McKenzie, McGill, Maitland, SFMA)… how would a 3-day workshop for ~1 hr/day possibly help me?

↳↳ If you’ve already learned various rehab models, that actually puts you in a clinical advantage to take the frameworks & checklists taught in this workshop to make your current eval system work EVEN better for you and your patients.

The rehab profession has more con ed options now than ever before. This leaves a lot of us feeling a bit conflicted as to which approach to “follow” especially when we’ve taken a lot of courses.

That’s why it’s so important to have a filter that helps us narrow our options, make better decisions that get results, and minimizes decision making fatigue.

And that is exactly why I’m hosting a live workshop for Physical Therapists:

“Your 3-Day Sciatica Eval Blueprint” Workshop

In this live workshop, you’ll learn:

DAY 1(1 hr)
PATTERN
RECOGNITION

You’ll learn the framework for the number one clinical skill that separates good from great Physical Therapists. And you’ll learn to identify two classic patterns of LBP/sciatica that go undiagnosed for too long, missed by most Physical Therapists, and are way easier to treat than you think.

DAY 2(1 hr)
THE SUBJECTIVE
INTERVIEW

You’ll learn essential strategies of a subjective interview that helps build trust & extract key pieces of the patient’s story even with those poor historians who make it feel like you’re pulling teeth every time you ask a question 😑 When a REALLY acute patient comes in, you’ll learn how to cut through the fluff and get right to the questions that really matter.

DAY 3(1 hr)
THE OBJECTIVE
EXAM

You’ll learn how to use a very simple checklist that makes diagnosing & communicating to a patient “feel too easy” even in a busy clinic. We’ll also use a real case study to show you how to use this framework to document concisely so the next time that patient comes in, you know exactly whats going on, and pick up where you left off.

The Specifics We’ll Cover:

  • Identify the two key clinical components of pattern recognition that fosters continued clinical growth & learning. Without this, Physical Therapists professionally stagnate and end up guessing and hoping for good outcomes.

  • Learn the most important framework I keep in mind during the subjective & objective exam with my patients and while mentoring other Physical Therapists, and how you can use this to improve your evals every time.

  • Learn two common acute discogenic pain pattern behavior that often overlooked by most Physical Therapists. How to easily identify them using the skill of pattern recognition so you catch it early, never miss it them, and give your patient a sense of control again.

  • Discuss the essential components a subjective interview that gets to the heart of your patients biggest challenges & frustrations without wasting time on unnecessary questions.

  • Learn how to optimize how you ask questions by integrating simple interviewing strategies used by expert consultants that will make you stand out from other Physical Therapists while helping you gather GOLDEN nuggets from your patient’s story.

  • Crash course on the objective checklist I use to categorize & diagnose the subcategories of mechanical low back pain/sciatica for more clarity with self-care education & plan of care strategies.

  • Define the four major sensitivity variables that make up the checklist.

  • Demonstrate how asking ourselves specific questions during the physical exam highlights key relationships between checklist variables. This helps us go from one test to the next efficiently and confidently without second guessing or wasting time on tests that we learned in school yet don’t provide any actionable information.

”This framework has helped me be more of a sniper instead of a cannon
when diagnosing & treating mechanical low back pain.”
Dr. Brett S. PT, DPT, USAW-1 Owner & CEO of Barbell Therapy & Performance

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

WHEN:

**Note📝: Each day of the workshop will cover different aspects of the evaluation process (as noted above), so you’ll want to watch all 3 to maximize the impact of your ads. All 3 sessions will be recorded and uploaded so that you have more than 24 hours to catch up with a previous session if you can’t make it live.

WHERE:

SPACE IS LIMITED: I’m capping this workshop 20 clinicians because I want to make it as interactive as possible. Once it fills up, I’ll consider adding more dates.

WHO’S IT FOR: Physical Therapists looking to sharpen their evaluation skills with sciatica using strategic time-saving, no-bullshit strategies. This workshop is for PTs who aren’t just looking for another passive learning environment, yet are willing to rolling up their sleeves, apply the knowledge, and come back the next day for feedback.

“I use to stress out when I saw an acute low back pain eval on my schedule but now I feel so much more confident and am excited for them. The only question I’m left with is, why aren't they teaching this system in PT school?”

- Dr. Rachel Jerozal PT, DPT - Founder of Durham Pelvic PT

This helped my brain not jump all over the place when someone who has acute back pain comes in the door.

Instead of just thinking "AH PRONE EXTENSIONS", it actually helped me ask the right questions, which further helped guide me in what to do on my objective exam.

I panic a LOT less, which is amazing! AND I have a lot more confidence when talking with my clients.

It was so incredibly refreshing to have an instructor who was caring, compassionate, a clear speaker, an expert in the field, and somehow gracefully is capable of
blending the art and science of acute low back pain.

Thank you for being such a brilliant teacher. Your vibe,
how you speak, and how you present, it really resonates with me."

- Dr. Kayla Nguyen PT, DPT owner of Rise Physio & Performance

Finding your way through sciatica eval landmines can feel daunting… but this workshop will FINALLY shed light on a simple & powerful process that SHOWS these patients you got their back… literally 😉

Space is limited, so save your spot today!

“This completely changed how I assess, plan for, & treat my patientsI loved the simplicity of the strategies and explanations that were very successful!

I was able to implement the tools, tips and strategies and had tremendous immediate results with the "overwhelming" acute patients.

I was able to be calm, grounded and more relaxed for the patient during their high stress feelings
when they were in a lot of pain!"

- Todd Houghton PT, CSCS - Owner & CEO of Houghton Physical Therapy
(Practicing PT & clinic owner for 20+ years)

Hey! I’m Ramez (pronounced “Ra-Mez”) Antoun, but please call me “Mez”.

I’ll be your 3-day workshop guide, instructor, or whatever you want to call me.

I'm a Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedics & sports medicine with a passion for strength & conditioning to help athletes & active adults overcome pain holding them back from performance gains.

With a passion for staying curious, continuing education, and teaching I created Spine PT University to serve & educate other Physical Therapists how to deliver the best spine therapy care without all the complex BS.

Spine PT has served as a consultant to a Major League Baseball organization, a private hospital, and various elite athletes ranging from martial artists, runners, weightlifters, and powerlifters.

After receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I traveled to the west coast to complete a 9 month post Graduate Residency in Neurological Physical Therapy at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, CA to practice Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) & learn Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) under Stephen Schmidt PT, M.PHYSIO, OCS, FAAOMPT.

After returning back to the east coast, I then completed a 2-year Post Graduate fellowship program at The Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (IOMT) where I underwent extensive orthopedic training in the evaluation and treatment of complex musculoskeletal injuries & orthopedic

A few others who can vouch for my work:

This helped me be more structured and systematic when evaluating low back cases. It’s honestly one of the best courses I have taken and very practical. I love the aspect of taking different approaches and being able to use what is best for each client.

Justin Vaidyan PT, DPT Founder & CEO of Arise Physical Therapy

Mez synthesizes intelligent approaches with physical therapy techniques with emotionally intelligent leadership with his patient stories, and embodies the art of skillfully coaching patients without overwhelming them with excess information. If you’re on the fence all I can say is, DO IT! Definitely worthwhile in learning a quick and easy to understand framework.

Christopher Lee OTR/L CSCS - Owner of Chris Lee Fitness

"The value provided by Mez is unbelievable. Mez brings a level of passion that is special, and having access to the years worth of work he’s done and knowledge he’s acquired should not be passed up. Sign up."

- Dr. Britt Smith, PT, DPT, LMT, CLT, CFSC Co-Founder of Keep It Moving Physical Therapy & Wellness

This helped pull me back to the basics. I was able to recognize things in my patients that I wouldn't notice before and give them easy changes to make to start reducing pain right away. I loved the open conversation and practical application that we can used right away. If you’re on the fence I’d say absolutely do it, especially if you are a younger clinician. This helps you grow in your critical thinking skills and pattern recognition which will be super beneficial to your long term abilities as a clinician.

Dr. Kelsey Lynch PT, DPT, CSCS

"I would highly recommend learning from Mez to anyone looking to put skills you already have into a model that works better for you."
- Dr. Nate Felton PT, DPT

In case you’re wondering:

“What if I’m not a new grad PT and I’m already comfortable with the basics of evaluating sciatica/LBP?”

OR

“what if I’m looking for more in-depth treatment ideas?”

So glad you asked!

Here’s what this workshop will NOT cover or provide:

  • In-depth treatment progressions (i.e exercise progression & regressions, Neurodynamic strategies like nerve flossing)

  • Detailed step-by-step instructions for Neurodynamic testing (Slump & PSLR tests)

  • Integrating Pain Science Education (PNE) into self-care education without getting the blank stare-eye roll 👀

  • Strategies to improve motor learning & movement awareness.

  • Updates to any workshop content after the live workshop.

  • Handouts or downloadable visuals

If you want more in-depth training, lifetime updates and more step-by-step hand holding - even if you’re a beginner -
this course is likely a better fit.

And here’s the rest of the “fine print”, which I’m making large because I always want to be completely upfront with you:

Got Questions? I’ve got answers:

⁉️ Do I need to be at all 3 sessions? Or can I choose from one of the 3 dates?

I'll be presenting different material at each of the sessions, so you need to watch all three to get the complete instructions for the evaluation process I'll be teaching. You do not, however, need to attend any of the open parentheses or all of them) live, because remember they will all be recorded. If you can be, there live awesome! That way you'll be able to get your specific questions answered.

⁉️ I can I get CEUs use for this workshop?

I based on how much time, energy and money it is taking me to get my previous courses CEU approved… The answer is no.

⁉️ I'm not happy with the workshop? Can I get my money back?

Becoming the number of spaces in the workshop and the reduced price, for this truly hands on three day training, no refunds will be granted. If you're not sure if this workshop is a good fit for you in your clinical practice, either now, or in the future, get in touch with me and I'll give you my personal opinion about whether or not you benefit from the workshop. Seriously if I don't think I can help you get results I don't want your money.

⁉️ Oh, I'm not a new grad and this isn't my first rodeo with the sciatica evals. What if I come to the workshop and then fine I already know everything covered?

Call if you're a seasoned physical therapist who already feels comfortable with sciatica eval's and are already getting pretty good results with these patients this workshop probably isn't the right fit for you. Come join me inside my online LBP course instead.

⁉️ What's the difference between this 3-day workshop and your online LBP course? I can’t decide which one to sign up for.

Almost everything that we’'ll cover in this 3-day workshop is also covered inside my online LBP course (except for treatment planning) oh, but the workshop will cover the “sparknote basics” (of pattern recognition, the subjective, & objective exam) – and exactly what you need to know to get clear, competent, and confident with these evals.

The online course is 12+ hours long and this 3-day workshop will likely be 4.5 hours total including live Q&A. So there's only much I can cover comparatively.

My online course goes a lot deeper into every aspect of the evaluation process we cover in the 3-day workshop. In the online course I get into the step-by-step detailed procedures of exactly how to perform/interpret neurodynamic testing, neuro screening, how to differentiate neural vs MSK sources of the patient's pain, when & how to refer out, and so more.

During the online course I discuss common mistakes PTs make when introducing pain science education (PNE) to sciatica patients. I discuss how to avoid these common pitfalls and how to initiate self-care education while integrating PNE in a more seamless way.

Towards the end of the online course I get into treatment planning strategies using motor learning frameworks for lumbopelvic awareness, intra-abdominal pressure regulation, and progressing to functional patterns like the lunge, squat, and hip hinging during/after the acute phase.

I wish I could cover all of that stuff in a 3-day (1.5hr/day) workshop but its just not possible hence why the online course exists.

The online course provides downloadable resources you can print to use in the clinic such as the subjective/objective exam checklists, worksheets, patient education visuals, and a PDF of YouTube self-care videos you can share with your patients to reinforce education outside of the clinic.

With the online course you also get lifetime access to our private Facebook group to get any of your specific clinical questions answered and ongoing patient case support.

I’ll my best to answer as many specific clinical questions during the 3-day workshop as possible... Another reason why I've limited the number of spots available because I want it to be as interactive as possible so I can help everyone with their specific clinical challenges.

If you love the workshop and want continue working with me to refine your sciatica evaluation & management skills, you'll receive a special invitation to join my online course. If you decide to enroll in the course, I’ll refund your workshop payment!

“Prior to learning from Dr Ramez my evaluations were unstructured and disorganized missing a framework to which I could anchor myself to.

After learning this framework my treatment flow improved exponentially, I stopped doing guess work and started making sound clinical decisions geared towards resolution.

Now I'm way more confident and able to not only guide my patients but make them feel empowered and give them control over their pain. What I loved the most was how Dr Ramez delivers. He's the best mentor a clinician could ask for.

I felt welcomed despite only having a few years of experience. I felt comfortable asking questions even if they weren't directly related.

All of his feedback for my questions about patients was tangible and easy to implement right away and always got success with them. I would highly recommend Ramez for anyone who wants to develop their clinical skills. Dr Ramez's wealth of knowledge goes way beyond LBP.”
